Only one day to go before I fly out to Italy.
I’ve got the two weeks of the school holidays, so it will be jam-packed. The itinerary is:
Venice – 2 nights
Florence – 5 nights
Naples – 3 nights
Rome – 3 nights
Then home again. Phew!
R has been gallivanting around Europe for a month now while on LSL, and this is our compromise – he’s not allowed to go to Mediterranean countries without me!
We’re meeting up in Venice and travelling around with some extras – T is on her European Grand Tour as well, and A might join us, depending on his plans. Should be pretty relaxed and fun.
I’ve now packed all my bags. I’m trying out this travelling light thing, and only bringing a carryon-sized case and a carryon bag. I may end up with more than this by the end of the trip, but at least I won’t be lugging a huge suitcase through Venice looking for our hotel!
