Cologne – Rhine

Today was fantastic – we caught a train from Koln Station down to St Goar to catch a ferry down the Rhine to Koblenz. This is the “Romantic Rhine” bit where it’s all ruined castles and picturesque towns. Gorgeous! I ran my camera out of batteries getting pics of all of it.

Then Lina and I wandered around Koblenz. We found the old town and beautiful pedestrian squares as well as walking along the banks of the Rhine and Moselle. Then we caught the train back up to Koln again in time for dinner.

Also had some traditional German food – sauerkraut, sausages and then for dinner I had goulash at a traditional beer garden. What a day of heavy food! I did manage to find some GF rolls and things at a health food shop, so will take them to Turkey with me tomorrow.
